MediaPost Recognizes Intrapromote’s Work For Auto Manufacturer
Boutique search and social media marketing agency Intrapromote, LLC is honored to announce the company has won the prestigious OMMA Award for Search Marketing: SEO Campaign for Image SEO work with American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
Intrapromote’s project with Honda focused on improving the visibility of the Honda Automobiles site in Google Image Search. In image search, little is more frustrating than seeing low-quality sites appear above OEM (original equipment manufacturer) sites in search results, often by using the copyrighted photos that the OEM paid to produce in the first place.
Intrapromote recommended a program of image optimization that included adding image data to XML site maps, adding and simplifying image attributes, and implementing simple, intuitive image filenames where possible. In addition, Honda’s agency of record, RPA, created an image gallery structure that did not rely on Flash. As a result, visits to Honda’s Autos site from Google Image Search increased by more than 590 percent, compared with the prior year.
The highly competitive, international OMMA Awards For Online Creativity are announced annually at a ceremony in New York City, honoring advertisers that “push the potential of online advertising creative.” MediaPost released the names of the finalists in each OMMA Awards category in August, showcasing online marketing work done for some of the world’s biggest brands, by agencies of all sizes and specialties.
“We’re thrilled and honored to win the 2012 OMMA Award,” said Erik Dafforn, Intrapromote’s president. “Our ultimate goal is the satisfaction of our clients, but industry recognition like this continues to motivate and excite us.” The OMMA Award comes on the heels of Intrapromote winning its second Honda Premier Partner Award in May of 2012.
